Surrendering Your Reptile

Due to a Family Medical Emergency we are no longer
accepting most surrenders. As soon as things are better
here we will begin taking in all animals again. We are sorry
for any inconvenience. There are a few exceptions that we
will make
1) You are in treatment or are starting treatment of Immune
suppressive drug (ie chemo, transplant rejection meds, etc.) proof
from you doctor will be required. We do not want to know your
medical condition just a note from your doctor stating, (Your
Name) is currently or will be starting Immune suppressive therapy
and should not be exposed to reptiles.
2) You are in the military and are being deployed oversees. We
will need something stating this.
3) You are having a problem with Child Protective Services and
they are demanding that you re-home the animal or they will take
your children. In this case we will need something from the
caseworker and are willing to help you fight CPS to retain
ownership of your pet.
4) If are going to be incarcerated for an extended period of time and
you have no one who can take care of your pet during this time.
We will want to see something from the courts stating your
sentence term and the start day of your sentence. You do not need
to disclose the reason for the incarceration.
5) If you believe that your situation is as serious as the above we
will take into consideration and our board will vote as to whether
we feel it an emergency.
All document can me email to us in jpeg or png format. You may
blank out medical diagnosis, reasons for incarceration, SSN's, and
any other personal information we do not feel comfortable sharing
we just need the basic to verify you situation qualifies as an
emergency.
This may seems like allot of info we are requiring but we
can only take in emergency cases. We get no donations so
we are funding this rescue out of our pockets. Due to a life
and death type medical situation we have to be very careful
where are money goes right now. I am very sorry that we
cannot help more.
